Spanish slang

This hub is dedicated to Spanish slang.  Many people won't think that it is very important however if you are learning Spainish whilst living in Spain it can be crutial.  Many slang phrases are common words that are used to convey a different meaning as in English.  Also it is good to try and fit in conversationally and usually people do not speak in language that you learn in a classroom.  Personally I always like to learn the offensive or swear words, not to use them but to know if someone else is using them about me! =)

Here are few I have picked out:

Una resaca  - A hangover

Pedo - a fart

Tío = guy (tía for a gal)

Mentiroso - Liar

Here are a couple of sites where you can get a lot more information on slang and idioms etc.
